South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar visited Jagakarsa and Pasar Minggu Districts to check the flood handling infrastructures.

Anwar said the monitoring was aimed to ensure the process of flood handling facilities construction was running optimally.

Anwar explained the first monitoring was about the Baru River dredging around RPTRA Betawi Ngumpul, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village, Jagakarsa District.
"I appealed Water Resource Sub-agency Head to improve the broken retaining wall to avoid water inundates the park," he explained.
Then the monitoring was run around RPTRA Waru Timbul, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu District to ensure the construction of Pulo River retaining wall was running smoothly.
"The was a broken retaining wall here, but is already handled by South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency. I hope the construction is run well so the river will back to normal," he added.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Santo, ensures the works run by his side are running smoothly. Those are Pulo River retaining wall repair and dredging.
"The retaining wall improvement of Pulo River is run along 600 meters both on right and left sides. The progress has reached 50 percent," he stated.
